Your data stays private.
New portfolios use E2E Encryption (end-to-end encryption). This means your browser encrypts your portfolio name and data before it sends them to us. We store the encrypted data.
A passphrase is a long password for your portfolio. We do not receive it. We cannot read your data protected by E2E Encryption without it.
Use an email code to sign in. Use your passphrase to unlock your portfolio. We can still see account emails and who has access.
Help your family know where to look.
A portfolio is your map of assets, such as savings and investments. Add your banks, accounts, values, and notes. Use notes to show where you keep documents.
You enter values and exchange rates yourself. Family Asset Map does not connect to banks. It does not hold or transfer money. Do not add bank passwords.
Start with three steps.
- Create your map. Sign in with an email code. Create a portfolio. Choose a long passphrase that you do not use elsewhere.
- Choose who can view it. Give access to a family member by email. They can view your whole portfolio, but cannot edit it.
- Share the passphrase separately. Use a safe method that you trust. Check that your family member can open the map.
Help them when you cannot explain.
For you and your partner. Keep one clear view of savings and investments. One person updates the map. The other can view it.
For illness or a death. Help your family find the right institutions and documents. Set up access before they need it.
For parents, adult children, or a trusted friend. Choose who can view your map. Add notes that show where to look and whom to contact.
Access starts when you give it and the person has the passphrase. There is no automatic release after a death. A map does not give access to money or replace a will.
